Payments are processed via Stripe, our credit card processing company. 60% of the accommodation fee will be charged on the reservation date and the remainder of the accommodation fee, cleaning fee and other taxes will be charged 10 days before check-in.

A security deposit of $1000 will be authorized 3 days prior to the check-in date. Authorization verifies that there are sufficient funds in the account, however, the funds will not actually be charged. This authorization will remain in place and be released 14 days after the check-out date. If no damages are identified during the post check-out walk through process, the full amount will be released. However, if damages have been identified, we will notify you of the damages and deduct the applicable amount from the security deposit before releasing the remainder to you.

Please note that during the time frame that the security deposit amount is being held, you may notice several cycles of hold and release of the security deposit amount on your credit card transaction activity. This just reflects the mechanics of how our credit card processing company works. However, rest assured that only $1000 is being authorized and no more than that.

Lodging taxes are required to be collected for all short term rental bookings. Here is the breakdown of lodging taxes collected for our properties:

Properties located in PA: We are required to collect a 6% state lodging tax and 3% Carbon County lodging tax.

Properties located in VA: We are required to collect a 6% state sales and use tax and a 7% transient occupancy tax.

Properties located in TX: We are required to collect a 6% state lodging tax and a 7% City of Georgetown Hotel tax.

Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% less a 4% processing fee of the amount they have paid.

Example: Guest paid $1000 towards the booking. Guest will get back $1000 - ($1000 x 0.04) = $960

If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will get back 50% less a 4% processing fee of what they have paid.

Example: Guest paid $1000 towards booking. Guest will get back $500 - ($1000 x 0.04) = $460

If they cancel less than 14 days before their reservation, they will not get a refund.
